Where We Are
Collinwood is a small town with a friendly atmosphere nestled near the beautiful Natchez Trace Parkway in Wayne County, Tennessee. Cornerstone Church, in Collinwood, is conveniently located approximately 25 miles north of Florence, Alabama and 110 miles southwest of Nashville, Tennessee.
What We Believe
The Bible declares in Revelation 21:6, "I will give unto him that is athrist of the fountain of the water of life freely." This scripture is saying that anyone can come, and there is no charge for this life giving water. The basic doctrine of Cornerstone Church is the Bible plan of salvation, which is repentance, baptism in water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
How To Get This Church Experience
Repentance: Forgiveness of sins is obtained by confessing and forsaking sin. It is being genuinely sorry for, and turning away from a life of sin.
Water Baptism: Baptism is by immersion in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is the scriptural mode of baptism after there has been true repentance.
The Baptism of the Holy Ghost: This is a promise after repentance and water baptism in Jesus name. Acts 2:38-39 sends the message, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

God has honored my wife and me with the privilege of pastoring a thriving church at Collinwood Tennessee. We began pastoring in November of 1998. Since that time we have been blessed with some great moves of God and a continued spiritual excitement in our services. God supplied us with a great foundation on which to build in the form of true "Apostles of the Gospel" that founded, established, and grew this church with literal blood, sweat, and tears. These great people were my father and mother, Pastor Gary and Wanda Hodum, who now reside in Corinth Mississippi.
I truly believe in the healing power of God, especially through his word. It is my desire to see your life blessed of God and the best way that I know to see that accomplished is by the life changing effectiveness of the word of God.
It is the desire of us here at Cornerstone Church to see your family prosper even as your soul prospers. That is why that we are committed to "Building One Family at a Time."
I believe that God has helped us create an environment that is friendly to the hurting and strength to the weak.
